Surgeon FAQs

Q: What are the benefits of using Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery for my procedures?

A: Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery specializes in same day surgeries and operates more efficiently than its hospital competitors in its friendly, calm, comfortable atmosphere.  We pre-screen all patients and refer those who are ill or have risk of complications to the hospital or to other doctors. Our facility attracts high quality administrative and medical staff by offering competitive fees and benefits, convenient weekday work hours, and room for advancement. Fast turnover and preparation of surgical rooms provides surgeons with the opportunity to increase their productivity.

Q: How are the surgical suites equipped?

A: Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery offers state-of-the-art equipment and the latest medical technology to ensure that our surgeons can provide their patients with the best care possible. Recent acquisitions include an OEC 9900 C-Arm and three high definition surgical towers.

Q: How do I schedule patient procedures?

A: Surgeons can fill out the convenient scheduling request form, fax it to our office, and follow up by phone to discuss and confirm. Because turnover time is faster and downtime is shorter for surgical rooms at Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery, our surgeons have more flexibility in scheduling their procedures and get a quick response to their scheduling requests.

Q: Where should I send my patients for preoperative lab work?

A: All preoperative lab work must be completed within a week of surgery by whichever lab you usually use.

Q: Is Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery certified by any agencies?

A: We are fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. This accreditation currently is renewed on an annual basis.
