October 10, 2012

Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery, LLC, a state-of-the-art , independent, same day surgical center, is recognizing National ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) Day on October 11, 2012, by reminding physicians and their patients of the benefits of undergoing procedures in an outpatient surgery setting.

“Many people do not fully understand what ambulatory surgical centers can offer,” says Dr. Virginia Feldman, Governing Chair, Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery, LLC.  “We want to reassure patients that they will receive individualized care in an environment that is warm, friendly, efficient, and lacks surgery delays due to emergencies with other patients, exposure to infections, or contact with very sick patients. Ambulatory Surgery Centers are also economical through streamlined and efficient processes. They ultimately provide less expense for the insurance companies.”

The Affordable Care Act has brought to light that patients should be getting the right care in the right setting to allow for lower cost to both patients and insurance companies.  The ambulatory care setting provides this while maintaining high quality care and patient satisfaction.

Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery, established in 2007 by a small group of surgeons, has grown to 25 surgeons, nine anesthesiologists, and seven full-time nurses. The center offers state-of-the-art surgical care in a comfortable, friendly, and professional environment, enabling patients to undergo surgery close to home. The practice offers a broad range of surgical services in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, head and neck/ENT, pain medicine, general surgery, podiatry, cosmetic surgery, gynecology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation services.

“Both doctors and patients choose ASCs because they are convenient, clean, caring, and cost effective,” says Dr. Feldman. “All of our procedures are done on the same day, allowing patients to return home to recover in the company of their loved ones.”

Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery, LLC, is located at 75 Crystal Run Road, Suite 225, Middletown, NY 10941.
